NEXT LEVEL WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP CERTIFICATE

DESCRIPTIONS

Developing as a Self-Aware Leader Emotional intelligence (the ability to effectively identify and engage emotion) and self- awareness (the ability to accurately perceive ourselves and our impact on others) have become two of the hottest topics in executive development. Emotional intelligence (EI) and self-awareness (SA) are indicators of highly effective leaders. This presentation is devoted to enhancing participants’ self-awareness through utilization of the Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI). Participants are guided through reflective and competency-building discussion and exercises. Psychological Safety We’ll lean on the work of Amy Edmondson and unpack the concept of psychological safety, the shared belief held by team members that interpersonal risk taking is safe. Defining the term further, we’ll identify the specific behaviors that build upon 4 stages of psychological safety: Inclusion Safety, Learner Safety, Contributor Safety, and Challenger Safety. We will talk about the critical role that leaders play in fostering psychologically safe teams and break down the specific behaviors that can help build or wreak havoc on this process.
