2023 Voice of the Workforce

Three questions were asked to explore how workers receive feedback. Most respondents indicated that, while their job responsibilities were clearly defined, many were not receiving regular feedback or communication about job performance. Responses were very mixed with this set of items. This is an area of opportunity for organizations in Oklahoma; implementing structured leadership development training can help equip managers with the necessary skills to provide effective feedback to their employees. Effective Feedback The next two variables, effective feedback and supervisor support, helped to explore how employees receive feedback and support from their supervisors. To perform well in a job, employees need to understand what is expected of them and receive feedback on their progress.
