Stillwater Cares Connects people and resources to prevent and alleviate poverty by providing Charity Tracker online assistance network and other assistance to helping organizations. Stillwater Community Health Center Provides healthcare and medications to low-income, uninsured residents of Payne County through volunteer physicians, nurses and pharmacists. Stillwater Group Homes Provides residential services (group homes, assisted living, supported living and respite care) for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Stillwater Interfaith Counseling Provides outpatient, professional counseling services to individuals, couples and families, beginning at age 15, on a sliding fee scale. Stillwater Literacy Council Provides free tutoring to adults in basic literacy and English as a second language. Stillwater Mobile Meals Delivers nutritious lunches to the elderly, homebound or recovering individuals Monday through Friday. Stillwater YMCA Provides opportunities in youth sports, summer camp, teen leadership, youth and adult swim lessons, individual and group exercise and volunteer activities. Stillwater Habitat for Humanity Provides low-income residents with affordable housing. They do this through partnerships with the community, volunteers who assist in building the homes and assistance with zero-interest rate mortgages. The Salvation Army Helps people in need of food, clothing, utilities and housing assistance. Offers intensive case management for clients and disaster services. Offers character-building activities for the entire family that are open to the public. The Saville Center for Child Advocacy Provides services for children with allegations of abuse including forensic interviews, medical examinations, counseling and victim advocacy. Coordinates Payne County’s Child Abuse Response Team and Child Abuse Prevention Task Force. Wings of Hope Family Crisis Services Provides free and confidential counseling, shelter, court advocacy and education services to families affected by domestic violence, sexual assault and/or stalking.
