Raj Basu, Ph.D. Dr. Raj Basu is on the Management faculty in the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University and faculty advisor for President’s Leadership Society at Oklahoma State University–Tulsa. Prior to returning to faculty, Raj served 15 years as the Vice-President for Academic Affairs for OSU-Tulsa. He received his M.B.A. from Duke University and his Ph.D. from Purdue University. Raj researches and teaches in the areas of leadership, employee performance, coaching, team performance, conflict management, and negotiations. He also consults with companies in the energy, financial services, government, health- care, non-profit, telecommunications, and other industries. Raj is a recipient of the President’s Award for Outstanding Teaching at OSU-Tulsa (2020). Additionally, he is a five-time recipient of the prestigious Jack Allen Teaching Excellence Award for outstanding teaching in the MBA program (2000, 2001, 2007, 2019, and 2020), the Greiner Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching (1996), and the Richard Poole Award for Outreach Excellence (2012, 2021). Raj serves or has served on the boards of KIPP Tulsa, Tulsa CARES, Tulsa Botanic Garden, City of Tulsa Human Rights Commission, Leadership Oklahoma, Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance, Metro Tulsa Urban League, Greenwood Cultural Center, and the community advisory board of the Junior League of Tulsa. He is a member of Leadership Oklahoma, Class XVIII. He has visited 50ish countries and in December 2004 he climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,350 feet), the highest peak in Africa.
